It's crooked and broken; 

genuine looking. 

How I would love to stare at you forever,

when your eyes are shining, 

you push your hair out of your face,

and you look into my eyes for a split second. 

It's something about that imperfect happiness,

The way you're all in black,

but you're not sad.

Maybe it's because you can be yourself,

and you don't care about what other people say.

Maybe it's because of that fearless determination to stay,

To love what you are, and what you've got.

Maybe it's those drawings that inspire you,

The songs you create, 

The words you write.

The way you don't let anything keep you down. 

The way you stare at the world, 

your curiosity, 

The way you play.

Your innocence, your wisdom.

You don't fear anything.

and maybe that's why I love you, because you're different from everyone else, and you don't fear it.
